You can make custom shapes with BSP's, use meshes that come with UDK or create custom meshes from another 3D program like blender. From this you can make a spaceship or a level in a spaceship.

I don't like the UDK because you can't make space ships now. Everything HAS to be a box, or a freaking large floor with lots of static meshes. No more custom shapes, which is why it is impossible to make literally anything on it...
