"then the preaching of the Cross is foolishness for those who are perishing."
I forgot 3rd Tim :
That if you confess with your mouth, "the ten commandments" and believe in your heart that God wrote them, you will be saved.

@ Rob Buettel. Becareful by which measure you judge for by the same measure you will be judged.i have reviewed your stuff about Rob Bell and have read comments and i can say beyond doubt that you yourself are guilty of the very thing that you have accused Mr Bell of.Atleast when Rob speaks I hear the heart of Jesus, when you speak it is quite the opposite.Answer me this, what did Jesus come to earth to show us?

continued from previous post) Even if Chrisitans answer back that Gods perfect standards demand perfection, we have no reason to believe that a perfect being would demand perfection. In fact a perfect being could, out of his perfect understanding, not hold us to perfect standards because he would understand that they are impossible to meet. Just as I, having a healthy brain, wont demand the same language skills from a mentally retarded person.

(continued from previous post) If I play Yankee Doodle Dandee on the piano, that doesnt make me a pianist. If I give to a charity once, that doesnt make me a philanthropist. If I yell at someone once, that doesnt make me hateful. One can reverse this against Christians. All Christians have doubted their faith at least once. If that is the case, then by their logic there are no Christians because the action (i.e. doubt) characterizes their whole existence (continued).

Anyone, with elementary reasoning skills, can see how illogical this line of reasoning is. After all, a few isolated actions, in a person's life, doesnt cause any sensible individual to label that person based on those actions. If I account for my taxes once, that doesn't make me an accountant. If I hit a baseball once, that doesn't make me a baseball player (continued)

get for real this is scripted fallacy of rubbish. I suppose Jesus spoke more on the law and hell than anything else too right?
no one in the entire new testament used this foolishness they preached Christ crucified, not the law.

God resist the proud but gives grace to the humble. A person that doesn't understand the bad news will not understand the Good News. If Jesus tells us to repent but we don't believe we need to repent from anything then the preaching of the Cross is foolishness for those who are perishing.
