  • hi i have just managed to get hold of a crime buster but there is no flint there is a hatch at the side where i think the flint should go but there is nothing there also i have no instructions or box insert is there any chance you could send me a photo of these things so i can get the gun functioning as it should regards

  • Hi,

Congrats on getting yourself a Crime Buster. Yes, there is a little door on the backside of the rifle and a small metal bracket goes inside and it holds two silver flints. As you probably know, the flints cause sparks in the red barrel when you pull the metal handle on the front of the rifle. I think they still sell flints for the old style cigarette lighters, but finding a "flint bracket" will be a challenge. Send your email address in the messages here and I'll send some pics. DD

  • hi thanks for your advice all your advice and help, my crime buster is working perfectly now. it was your vids that got my kids into these cool toys

  • Hi,

Glad to hear you got your crime buster working! I guess you were able to fabricate the flint holder. I'm also happy to hear that my vids sparked your kids into collecting toys. I will probably contact you via email to see find out how you fabricated the flint holder.

    Thanks

  • has any one got a crime buster gun that has been played with so we could see one working on yu tube that would be a great to see one in action as well as having your mint one

  • I have one I could post showing it firing but I'm having trouble uploading my videos because I now have real video and it is supported by quicktime and it won't upload to youtube. Once I get it figured out, I'll post again.

  • if the police REALLY had these, there would be no crime.

  • Oh yeah! My brother got the Zero M Bazooka, or Sonic Blaster the same year I got my Crimebuster. We really raised havoc..LOL!

  • I can't believe it.. I actually got one of these for Christmas when thy first came out. I had hours of fun chasing down the bad guys and screaming CRIME BUSTER! As I pulled the lever and saw the sparks and listened to the siren. Yes, we had some interesting toys then. I also owned the Johnny Eagle Lieutenant M-14. Congrats man!
