Anette rare old live Dvd with Alyson Avenue she sent to Tuomas to replace Tarja Turunen

The gig took place at KB in Malmoe, Sweden, Sunday 29th of May 2005. Lucky day for Anette Blyckert :P!

Anette tells:
"I recorded "Everdream" as a demo for Nightwish when Tarja was fired. Recorded that one song in one day and sent it forward.
I received e-mail from Tuomas almost instantly. He had liked my singing very much and asked me to send three songs more.
Later Tuomas said he was sorry but I couldn't become their new vocalist even though I was the best one he'd heard so far. I wondered why, because of my age perhaps?

I was of course a bit upset about the decision but I couldn't give up.

Then last summer I received the live DVD of Alyson and I had a feeling I should ask Tuomas if he wanted to see it. He did, so I sent it to him but didn't hear anything back from him before September when Ewo called me: "Hi, I'm the manager of Nightwish. We'd like to ask you a couple of questions."
Of course they asked about touring because I have a family. A child. I said I wanted to go touring. I'm not a typical stay-at-home mother. Singing is my whole life."

That's a really nice video right there. Anette sounds and looks very good and so does the rest of the band. I have one question though, in your description for this video you called her Blyckert, was that her married name or something?

You gotta love Anette for so many reason..

She has a;ways been a beautiful person with an amaizing beautiful voice

She has an unique sence of style,and she`s always very active on stageI like her barefoot in this clip)

Until she became a NW member she was an undicoverd pure talent(althought she sang very beautiful with Alyson Avenue)

And the story how she became a NW member is remarcable..Tuomas,you made a perfect choice,Anette is an angel:)

@IvanNightwisher You can don't like DPP for simple reason - the music is (technically - it's no matter of taste) much worse than in the previous NW albums. I'm suprised that so many don't see it and just blame Anette (who's quite good, but worse than Tarja).

But I think that Imaginaerum can be better ;).

I don't like her with blonde hair. She looks so disco era in this video. Old and out dated. Her voice is nice though. I like Anette but truthfully I'm starting to question her fit in NW. She seems to be rebelling against the Nightwish image. Doing solo songs doesn't help either. I can understand collaborations with other artists but solo songs is a big no-no for members of a band. Feels disloyal. That's just my 2 cents. Still like her though.
