Ahh yes the famous Ritz and Hall battle. Ritz' race and build-up to this victory was very interesting although so was Hall's. Ritz had a stress fracture trained for 8 weeks. Ran 23+ for the 8k at Pre-Nats and literally ran himself to exhaustion in this race. Hall had his breakthrough year that everyone had been looking for since he went to Stanford. He dominated all year, undefeated heading into this race and had the lead on Ritz w/less than 800 to go. Ritz looked done, but he had one last push.
