The Pistons sh**canned Rick Carlisle, who had been NBA Coach of the Year and was coming off back to back 50 win seasons, when they had a chance to get Larry Brown ... why should the Bobcats, a franchise with virtually no identity or reason to continue down their established path, have done any differently when the opportunity presented itself?

Either way, they knew they were getting Larry Brown before they fired Vincent, and given those options I'd take Brown.
