Thug EMS Worker Steals Video Camera

Did you know that EMS workers are also now enforcers of some arbitrary words on paper called "HIPA"? (I didn't - I thought they were good people who do their best to help. Guess that's not true of all of them.) EMS workers and sheriffs claim that "HIPA" allows them to prevent you from recording video of what they do with patients. Apparently it doesn't matter what the patient wants. Watch as this thug steals my camera. I then spent over an hour of my time waiting around to get it back. I'd have to look online for it and honestly I don't have the time nor do I care enough to do so...and if the patient requested that you guys film it then he just waived his HIPPA rights...were you the one filming this?

Can you provide a statutory or regulation citation to back up your claim that HIPAA applies in this incident/scenario? A few things: the patient consented and even requested people video record/broadcast the incident, not all EMS workers are "covered entities" under HIPAA, this incident happened in public where anyone can see said patient.

HIPPA is a privacy act....it covers confidentiality...if they would have allowed you to tape the patients face without their permission then your act violates HIPPA.

Sadly this kind of incident has happened over and over in keene and other places in NH. If you want to prove your point, then protest, but do not wrongly accuse, antagonize, or be violent to the people who could one day save your life.

Also dealing with the injured man screaming police brutality. these men and women who serve our country and more often than not have nothing to do with the creation of laws they enforce are being targeted, and for no apparent reason. It brings shame, and rage to my mind when i see these things happen. I am not saying taking the camera was the right thing to do, but i ask you put yourself in that position and try not to beat the crap out of one of those guys in that given situation.

If this were the whole video you would realize that, the free staters, who are for "peacful protest" do nothing but refuse to obey laws and continue to get in peoples faces. The ems worker in this video was trying to do his job, in this case help one of the "peaceful protesters" who had been injured when a police officer had to restrain him. After dealing with many people filming the patient ( in itself a violation of the confidentiality law binding docters to their patients).
