I was lucky enuf to witness the classic scratch and handicap races between Rick woods and mike Bast in the '70. It was incredible. I was racing mx at the time, i wa 15, and I was just in awe of their skill on a bike. I wanted to race speedway, but I chose bicycle road racing instead. Rick Woods was the best in my opinion. Sonny Nutter was better on the long tracks, like Ascot, because of his British experience. But, Woods/Bast was some of the best racing ever, in the history of motor sports!!!!
