My dad met Buck Jones ( Charles F.Gebhart b.1891 d.1942) in 1932, shook hands and got an autographed photo. See final image, it is from his childhood scrapbook. After WWI Buck Jones was in 160+ movies before dying in the Cocoanut Grove fire in Boston Mass. Nov.1942. Legend has it that Jones died as a result of going back into the building to help people out, 492 people perished.
Frank Luther (b.1900 d.1980) prolific band vocalist, achieved his greatest fame with his many children's records, and radio show.

  • Thanks for posting this. Buck Jones was my daddy's favorite as a kid. He would go to the Saturday matinee to see Buck Jones the Cowboy. Additionally, all his friends and family had even started calling him "Buck". What a tribute!

  • Thank you so much for sharing this tune. I have been a Buck Jones Ranger for years.
