Duncan Grant has been playing since the age of 8. He had a very successful career in the Junior competitions. Some highlights include winning the Piobaireachd competitions at the Skye Highland Gathering 3 times in a row, and also winning the March Strathspey and Reel competition at the Northern Meeting Competition in Inverness at the age of 17. He also achieved 3rd place in the Piobaireachd event at this competition, making him the overall winner that year in the toughest piping competition in the world. Duncan came second in the John Roe Plate last year and won the 2008 Young Piper of the Year. He is definitely a name to look out for in the future. Here he entertains SPSL members at the Mudlark on 9th Feb 2008.
