I don't think it sounds like she wants to fit in with her friends. I think she wanted children very badly and it hurt to hear her friends talking about their pregnancies when she couldn't have one.

If you've never gone through it, you will never understand how hard it is to be happy for someone with something you really want for yourself, but you know you can't have...I'm going through the process now and am constantly running into pregnant women.

When you are trying to become pregnant and cannot, it seems every pregnant woman in your neighborhood bumps into you.

It's very frustrating - I know how she feels. We've been trying for 3 years and nothing but every other woman around me is getting pregnant with the snap of a finger. You're happy for them but it just adds to your frustration level even more!
