A very fun Goldsmith score that expertly captures the zany onscreen antics. I get a kick out of the little touches, such as the use of wood blocks at the appearance of the skeleton at the end.

I love the way Mr. Igoe's pod looks something like a shark, and then of course there's Vernon Wells inside looking utterly demented! Maybe someone should dub his Bennett lines from Commando over this fight scene: "I'm going to kill you John!" at 6:10 etc. Great score too.

1:45 - a two-headed baby would have wiped that smile off his face

For what is a film with quite a whacky tone, its such a majestic and powerful score.

@pickerman123 I like Horner and Elfman. Zimmer is lame. Too much reused material.

I miss Jerry Goldsmith. There is no one close to his abilities around now. I must admit, I really feel badly that we're stuck with a bunch of nonentities for composers.
Goldsmith was the real deal.

Wasn't Asimov involved with a similar concept for a sequel to Fantastic Voyage that was pitched as the USA and USSR fighting a war in the bloodstream? I think he turned it down and the studio went with this, which makes a lot more sense.
I like the music for Igoe's exosuit/submersible.

"...You just digested the bad guy."

sweet, love this soundtrack :;), let's hope it get's a "real" release.

Excellent clip to choose from Innerspace. Once again, I'm reminded of just how much Imiss Jerry Goldsmith. And I reminded of how we're stuck with composers like James Horner, Danny Elfman and even Hans Zimmer. Goldsmith evolved as a composer. He understood that film music could achieve a metamorphasis that when tapped and exploited could produce wondrous music instead of the cookie cut-out process music fans are stuck with today.

Wonderful!! An underrated Goldsmith score for an equally underrated Joe Dante movie. Goldsmith quirks, grinds, wizzes, and delights throughout this score. I miss the man and his unique approach to film music.
