  • um, thats great?

  • Great Job! We played this two days ago at UIL. Previously we had taken it at around 130 and then our all-state clarinet player suggested the on tuesday that we could finish in two minutes if we took it 160. 160 it was. We got straight ones. Go Denton HS!!!!!

  • sweet!

    we got straight ones too.

  • because the trombones SUCK!!!!!!!

  • We're playing this in Band too. Honestly, my part (I play bari sax) isn't hard because I have the "bom, bom" part as I like to call it, but HOLY CRAP. I look over at the floutist near me and my mind is blown. It's so crazy!! This band did really well.

  • concert band played this when i was in high school...did i get to play this? no...i was in the lowly symphonic band with a senial director that claimed to have (and still does to this day, wtf) that he worked with the blue devils!!! i always wondered that if mr. [orlando] calderon had worked with the blue devils, then what the fuck was he doing teaching a triple-A high school marching band in louisiana?concert was playing rolling thunder. WE were playing pevensy castle, which id site red n 7th!

  • BAM, BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!

    one mo' 'gin...

  • we are playin this and god im scared!

  • Amazing!

    Very very cool.

I dont know why people are attacking the trombone technique!

Its all there, just not as clean as the DWS, which is understandable, considering the group is a high school band.

Theres an old trick the pros would use when playing crazy circus marches at tempos 200+ :

Have a phenom bone player tounge every single note

The bone next to him, play as written

Bone next to him, if possible, play legato.

That way, you get both the meat and articulation of all the notes.

  • We is playing this to. We start out at 200 and bump it up to 220 at the end. It's like Holy Crap hard.

  • most likely a different arrangement.
