This Krabby was caught on a chain of 40. We caught 2 more, then the chain broke.

To catch PokéRadar pokemon 'easily':

-Get lots of Repels
-Have a lot of patience
-Chain pokemon which are in flashing patches of grass, not normal ones (as normal ones will not get you a shiny)
-Patches of grass which contain shinies are a lot different to other patches of grass. Patches containing shiny pokemon can sparkle and not move much. Some of these can even have a red or yellow hue.
-Sometimes, shiny pokemon can be found BEFORE the 40 mark. This means Pokéradar actually raises your chance of seeing shinies (the closer you are to 40, the better). I caught a shiny Swablu at a chain of 8 and a shiny Machop and a chain of 23.
-Go to patches of the same colour and the most further away when chaining, but do not go to ones near edges as they will break your chain!
-Resetting your PokeRadar during chaining makes a whole new set of patches, without breaking your chain. This is what you're going to have to do when you reach 40 or above. You can also do this when there is only one patch of grass at one time (which is likely to break your chain), or when the patches are not flashing patches.
-DO NOT USE YOUR BICYCLE, TURN OFF YOUR DS OR LEAVE THE WILD GRASS WHILST CHAINING, AS THEY WILL BREAK YOUR CHAIN.
-If you are a beginner, go for pokemon like bidoof and starly at Route 201 or something like that to chain, as those are easy shinies.
-Carry a lot of Poke balls
-If the pokemon you are chaining can selfdestruct, have a pokemon in your front row with the ability Damp. If the pokemon can Teleport, have a pokemon in your front row with the ability Shadow Tag, or the move Block or Spider Web. If the pokemon you are chaining has the move Roar, Whirlwind etc, use a pokemon with Suction Cups.
-The ability Magnet Pull attracts steel type pokemon, if the pokemon is put in your front row. Same applies for Static and electric types.
-If you get a shiny pokemon at 40 by resetting your pokeradar over and over again, it is easy to get another shiny if you keep resetting your pokeradar over and over again. If you want to get even more of the same shiny pokemon, repeat this process.
-Avoid grasses that aren't the same colour as the first patch of grass you stepped in, otherwise it is likely it will break your chain.
-Swarm pokemon are quite easy to get as shinies, especially the electric and steel type pokemon, due to their quantity. The more common the pokemon is, the more likely you are to see it.
-If you want a pokemon with a certain nature, have a pokemon with the ability Synchronize in your front row, with the ability you want. This has a 50% chance of working.
-Order a psychiatrist, as chains break easily and you may get frustrated.
-If you get annoyed just take a break, by just shutting the DS (not turning it off). This won't break your chain at all, even if you leave it for days on end.
