@Choefoe TRUE TRUE AND TRUE. I am not offended and my skin is brown. I love to watch him ,the Nicholas Brothers,Gene Kelly, or Misha dance. Those are my immortal 4!! This man was so special. Anybody who can honestly say that they do not enjoy watching old Freddy cut a rug probably has something seriously wrong with them.

beautiful! does anyone know which movie it was that Fred Astaire danced with a sheet of newspaper out on the street/alley? i believe it was Fred, i don't think it was Gene Kelly: it was not the scene in Summer Stock. thanks for any help!

the symbolism here is great....all the whites who got credit for bojangles work are those shadows following his lead in the background...they may seem bigger cause they had more money and backing behind them but in the end they just couldnt keep up...Fred Astaire was a sharp guy...and by the way im black and this isnt offensive its clear thats not the intent
