Whats an Anchor Text Link Intuit Sitebuilder-HTML Linking

I thought an anchor was for a boat, but the term applies to linking text inside the Intuit Sitebuilder. This is a term used to describe the process of making a keyword phrase an active, clickable pathway on or off of your Intuit/Homestead website pages. This phrase helps the search engines understand what your website page is about when the linking structure is pointing to your Homestead web pages.
