  • The Speed Bump Knocked Him Off Of The Motor Cycle.

Speed Bumps Should Be Out Lawed !!!

  • Hoopdedoo, thanks for your input. Yes, I realize that the addtional cost for training will be passed on tot he consumer. That's ok, ones life is priceless. Mandatory training should be provided no matter at what cost. I am certain it will be less expensive than a funeral. And the human toll of heartache for an eternity. Thanks again for your positive outlook. Marsha

  • @MarshaRandolph Each manufacturer does contribute and refers new riders to the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, an international nonprofit training program. It costs about $75 for 15 hours training. I suppose that manufacturers could be forced to pay for training, but the cost would be passed on to the purchase price, and mandated expenses on industry, or mandated government programs ALWAYS cost more money than a free-market solution.

  • @TCoops We have LOTS of road laws, but Federal law only requires those under 18 to wear helmets. Otherwise, it's up to the legislature in each state. Some states have found helmet laws to be unconstitutional, while others have passed strict laws. You need to understand our history and Constitution to understand why the states are given many powers and Federal power is limited wherever possible (our founders were fed up with tyranny).

  • Darn speed bumps. Why on earth to they put them there, anyway? Oh, wait...

  • RIP fellow rider.

  • The lesson here: Remove speed bumps.

  • Does she mean he was decapitated?

  • He loaned his helmet to a friend, and then kept riding without one? My gods, people. Don't you have road laws in the USA?

  • RIP !!
