What's up with the privacy? Shonen Knife have always had a policy of giving out zero personal information. Naoko told no one when she was pregnant. When she had her daughter, Ema, she wrote about it briefly, with one picture in the S.K. fanzine. BTW Ema makes a cameo appearance in the video "Zero Gravity" about 2/3rds of the way through. Atsuko never announced she was dating an American from L.A. for something like 10 years until there was a brief notice she was getting married.

@ishabaka Ah. Well, I hope her rock and roll life isn't over, but if she is even somewhat typically Japanese, she may be several years in child-rearing. Ganbatte!

She is beautiful, and a fantastic drummer.
I believe she left because she got pregnant in early 2010.

Such a tiny person, but she hit the drums as hard as Animal from the Muppet Show! Too bad she is not with Shonen Knife anymore.
