after 4 days and some minor problems *thank you autozone and the company the motor came from* We finally got the new motor in and got it fired up *without the exhaust manifolds just to see if it was going to start and to see how it sounds, lol.* My buddy Pete said the MAF sensor was out of wack, but i wasnt really sure seeing as we just bought one of the damn things 3 or 4 months ago, and that was going to go over so well with my mom, lol* But after running it a while and finding out that the PCV valve wasnt connected, it started to act right. Though i stopped recording before that because the batteries were half dead. Anyways, thats Peter on the left, my cousin Keith Gaston in the orange shirt, and my Uncle Larry on the right in the white shirt.
Now i gotta find out whats making it overheat

  • did you ever get that guy running right

  • @infinity3jif yeah, its running as good as its going to get *had some problems with the engine trying to overheat, but i solved that the old fashion way, removing the thermostat housing and pouring water into the engine, lol* it starts kinda iffy *idle air control vale probably* but runs smooth. though its parked now due to the oil filter adapter gasket leaking like crazy. got the replacement part but its been too damn hot to do anything as of late, lol. Hopefully ill get it fixed soon.

  • @bigshow196 man i had that same problem with that oil filter adapter on my 1994 vic P71 i drove it like that for 2 years but it went through so much oil, stupid me i never checked to see where the oil was coming from or how much the gasket cost or how hard it would be to replace, i did'nt know the gasket only cost $6 plus my buddy works at a shop so he charged me a low price to replace it
