As our client is diversifying to make key components that will drive Green products, like hybrid cars, wind mills, etc., beyond their current portfolio, expansion is considered to be long-term here. As a result, we are looking for the right person to drive the strategic sourcing process for this $1.5B organization.

Position Description:

• Strategic Sourcing Specialist reporting to the Director of Sourcing & Procurement;
• Identify, qualify, negotiate and manage strategic supplier relationships in order to support double-digit growth;
• Drive all program management efforts including cost reduction programs, supplier changes, relocation of suppliers, design changes, etc.
• Full global responsibility for sourcing any combination of metals, ceramics, electrical, molding, stamping, wire and/or cable;
• $120 million annual international spend in markets including China, Malaysia, Korea, Mexico, Dominican Republic and beyond;
• Effectively work cross-functionally with product management and product innovation / engineering to drive the new product introduction process.

Background Required:

• Highly energetic, self-directed individual with at least 5 years of global purchasing / commodity management;
• Demonstrated background in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment managing multiple programs;
• Strong program management experience is a must;
• Working knowledge of tier-1 applications like SAP, Oracle or equivalent;
• Bachelor's Degree required, no exceptions;
• Ability to travel up to 20%.


Compensation Plan:

• $75-85k + 10% bonus;
