Tegla Loroupe Interview 2008 - LIFE Voices 13

Tegla Loroupe is one of the most gifted marathon runners. She is not only active in sports but also makes big steps towards peace with her Peace Races in Kenya, and as UN Ambassador for Sports. She recently worked together with Kofi Annan for a peaceful solution in the Kenyan Government. We had the privilege to meet and interview her in Switzerland where she ran a half-marathon and participated in the World Harmony Run. In this interview Tegla also speaks about her relationship with Sri Chinmoy whom she met several times and admires a lot. LIFE Voices 13.

I was honoured to hear Tagla Loroupe speak, and later to briefly meet her at "21minutes" in Milan in 2009. There is someting very special about Tagla Loroupe, I sensed from her a great personal sincerity and unquenchable commitment to a just & universal cause which touches upon all of humanity. Bless her & the work she does.

I had the pleasure of personally speaking to Tegla Loroupe once. She is a wonderful woman and a talented athlete. I think what she does for peace in Kenya and her foundation is great. The Pokot tribe is a wonderful tribe. Poisho Nya Tegla!!! :)
