Grounded: Relative to Laamb, Kali, Shotokan Ka-Ra-Te, Jeet Kune Do(JKD Just Keep Doing), 52 Blocks, Kungfu, Afrikan martial arts. Ground work is spiritual and physical...the combination of both is moving material(entity,complete,divine,wholistic(holistic...which ever your prefer). The ground work strenghtens the center of gravity and spiritual energy all at one...remember the ancestor world veiw...simplicity rules! All mid to high stances(even jumping attacks and motion) are the children of ground stance...hence the defenition of martial arts is basically wrestling...Black people is to all people as hydrogen is to all atoms and as 1 is to all numbers...being first of the family of entities presupose the features of the "first" are tighly associated...in combat the tightest association is not boxing or kicking but wresting...the personal space of both opponents are one of a kind...chinese boxing is boxing in the sense that the personal space of both are not one of a kind...hence it evolved out of wresting....Wresting for Afrikans is any means to render an opponent helpless...be it a fist, rock or even a bullet or baseball bat....any means for survival! 52 is Afrikan martial arts(not a style but a system of styles working in harmony) that transformed to deal with Eurocentric offenses and people without self-knowledge. If we were in a cold climate it would be traansformed to deal with the restraints of extra clothing. All Afrikan martial arts and martial arts with Afrikan roots(i.e Jeet Kune Do, Kali, ect) have great similarieties...i.e focus on sparring and sensitivity drills, polymetrics, no boundries in hitting, kicking, grappling and trapping ect. Even Bruce Lee says "hack away the unessentials"...in doing that you end up with an Afrikan lifestyle, culture, and ways of defending oneself. WHAT IS MORE BASIC THEN BLACK?

  • Similar to Indonesian systems of ground fighting., monkey Gung Fu also. Very effective for body conditioning, and also for being able move if dropped to the ground. Few people explore how to do this. Props to you.

  • @TheSubwaysurfer Thanks fams, Hey it's the Ground up!

  • hi there,is this type of exercise for leg and hip strength and balance or like a wrestling drill? or is it sort of like capoeria

  • Wow,look at the lil afrikan roach go!

  • @WalcottShuffle Come on baby lamb, you have nothing but "DICKRIDING" comments. Do something constructive, like learn some character. Guess you don't care for integrety either since your using a fake account. Everybody knows it.

  • Im gonna implement this to my collegiate wrestling career. thanks! Keep the vids coming.

  • @Kigonja Good Brother, I admire both the eloquence and integrity of your response to this person. It shows a rare type of spirit and i commend you for the sincere honesty of your presentation, both in movement and in words. May God continue to bless your arts...Thank you, Peace!!!

  • @Ryotphoenixwing Nope not jeet kune do, but kupigana ngumi my style. I know a lot of concepts of JKD but I also it's AFRIKAN ROOT, inwhich if all arts done right leads one to indegenious martial arts or basic "bock" to curve any "style" you want without being "out of touch".

  • So you do Jetet Kune Do... so I have a question for you? I heard rumor that Bruce Lee came up with a "Chi Sao" technique that involves no touching, only movement and foot work. The way your movement walks or stalk effects your next walk and stalking movements.. Is it true? If it is, what is it called and were can I look it up?
