Feminism is an "ism" or study of femaleness or femininity this was forged in the 1800's one for completely different reasons largely to do with women bottoming out in society because of the standard of health or families being impoverished! This was later hijacked by a womans movement in the 1960 more to do with sex and then capitalism for women where it tried to exploit its origin to say women are oppressed.
