  • According to the theological definition of the term, a cult is a group that denies essential biblical doctrine, while claiming to be christian or in harmony with true Christianity. While Mormons claim to be members of the one true Christian church, they deny historic and essential Christian doctrines; therefore, evangelical Christians, do indeed, consider it a cult of christianity

  • Actually the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints considers all the essential and historic doctrines of the gospel of Jesus Christ the very cornerstone of their beliefs. In fact, without them, the church was not exist. Thank you for your comment there is a lot of misinformation out there another reason for my posting these clips.

  • I just found out that he's a relative of mine. My grandmother was always big on the daughter of Mayflower stuff so I decided to look it up out of curiosity. Boy did John Howland (he's the guy who fell off the Mayflower) spawn all sorts of different people! Joseph Smith, The Bush's, FDR, Dr. Spock, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Sarah Palin.... little ol' me. LOL

  • Wow that's cool. I am also descended from the early Pilgrims I believe it was the ship that followed after the Mayflower, the second ship at Plymouth Rock geneology is great and truly interesting. I never thought it would be as fascinating as it is. Thanks for your comment!

  • Those are some people who have all made a major impact on many people's lives I have to say I love Ralph Waldo Emerson's quotes!

  • Thank you for this amazing video! Joseph Smith was a true prophet and a great man.

  • The Mayor of Boston Quincy Adams described Joseph Smith as exactly 6' tall and 212 lbs!

A sturdy man for that age!

  • Minimumdog. The Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ and proves the bible is true but both books point to Christ, not to the bible.

  • I've seen the actual face masks that they created of Joseph and Hyrum at Carthage. I've been to the Church History Museum pretty often, but I never noticed the masks until last time. It's pretty cool. :)

  • Nothing could be further from the truth. I am speaking of the "essential BIBLICAL doctrine". Look, every theological heresy begins with the misconception of the nature of God. Comparing the biblical teaching of God, for one example, with the mormon god shows they are not one in the same. The mormon doctrine of man, sin, salvation (exaltation in mormonism), Christ, heaven, hell-do not equate to the bible. Mormonism has a different gospel that is false. Founded by a false prophet. Do research.

  • What a beautiful presentation of the likenesses of the wonderful prophet Joseph Smith! Surely he is one of the greatest prophets to ever live on this earth ~ but still, he is a man and stands in the shadow of our Lord Jesus Christ. I love Joseph Smith!

We as LDS people do not worship Joseph Smith...but there is a consensus of love and appreciation for him because of the large role he played in restoring the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

  • loor to nosso profeta Joseph Smith
