You obviously don't get the reference, so I'll clue you in. In 1981, The Cure played the Werchter Festival, which Robert Palmer was headlining. Near the end of their set, Palmer's people told them they had time to play one more song, so they played an extra-long version of 'A Forest'. After they were done, Simon went up to the microphone and shouted, "F**k Robert Palmer, f**k rock 'n' roll!" Shortly after that, Palmer's people dumped The Cure's gear off the back of the stage.
