http://www.coolflatroof.com/flat-roofing-blog/solar-roofing/ - Solar Roofing
http://www.greensolarcafe.com/solar-wind-hydro-renewable-energy/solar-metal-r... - Learn how solar metal roofing works when you integrate Standing Seam metal roof with thin film PV (photovoltaic) solar panels by Uni-Solar.

How Uni-Solar Thin Film PV laminates work:

Uni-Solar PV Laminates were designed to work with 16" Standing Seam metal roof panels. The excellent Butyl adhesive ensures

that solar panels stays attached to the metal roof, generating free solar electricity.

UniSolar PV laminates come in 144 watt PV modules (18 feet long by 16 inches wide laminates) and 78 watt modules (9 feet

long panel). All connections take place at the roof ridge and mom-pop connectors are hidden under the ridge cap.

UniSolar thin-film solar PV panels require twice as much area as conventional PV panels, but on a large roof where space is not a concern, offer the best solar price per watt.

  • How about protection for the wiring. You can't just leave it out like that. That would never meet code.

  • @chuckbyf1

Wiring is concealed under ridge cap and then goes into conduit, runs to inverter ... and great success. What you see in this video at the roof ridge, where panel connectors are shown, is before ridge cap is installed.

  • @qmarkthatjunk to bad you spent your money on MWS stuff

  • @coolflatroof very cool idea.

  • @coolflatroof 1) Do all thin-film's have adhesive backings? 2) Do they usually come with the terminals? I've seen videos where they are tediously cutting the backing of the film with a blade to pull wiring out; it looks really messy and easy to ruin the panel, so I would only want to buy thin film if it already has the terminal on it! 3) Do you apply thin film before the roofing goes onto the roof? Is there risk of damaging the film when the metal flexes as its being put up onto the roof?

  • Unique. I'd wish to see a lot more films just like it.

  • By using Concentrated Solar technique, you don't need to buy that many solar cells. Instead, you can share that many solar cells to you neighbors.

  • That is truly great movie.

  • @SUSPECTS1000 your rapping sucks ass go back to sucking dick you homo

  • lol technology from the 70's man real state of the art haha
