I have to admit, this is probably what first sold the series to me. In a sci-fi universe like Firefly, fresh fruit--really good, unpreserved fresh fruit--would be a luxury beyond the means of your average spacer. If it takes days or weeks to go from planet to planet, all of the fruit that they would see would either be canned, loaded with preservatives, or be.... less than trustworthy. And that looked like a really, really good strawberry.

Wow. Another thing to check off my list of things I'd never thought I'd see but did. A sci-fi show that takes into account the fact that there's no sound in space: Check. One of the best shows ever being cancelled after a single season: Check (insert angry glare at Fox here) An incredibly hot engineer having blissfully satisfying oral sex with a fruit. Check.
