@yourotheruncle Can the mills be rented in Central Colorado? I have tried searching for one online and I must not be phrasing my search right given that I can't find anything like it for rent. Do you know anyone who might be able to help?

i dont know what that idiot is trying but i think its good why pay alot on an miller when you can do it you'r self with friend's and have a good time and a good beer after

What a nice reply you made to that clown.
I certainly would have told him to go fuck himself!

Wow that is quick

a really great job, did you get lots of wood suited to do what you want. But you paid for that piece of wood? you may sell the timber from costs to lower the cost of the saw

I run a commercial mill and we can all our logs. Our metal detectors cost us around £600 (I am in the UK) what you see norm and others using are only good on thin timber. They won't work on a log.
Urban logs are really not viable for a saw mill so this is the best way too get them used and not just burnt or chipped.

THATS A GOOD MILL ITS ALL IN ONE LOL

@treeclimberdave Wow. I've owned a "Piece of Shit" Wood-Mizer for 13 years and I've never had to change blades 10 times a day. Mine cuts true as well. And just because I own a mill that's not the same brand and/or design as the one in the video I'm not going to bag on it. I think Lucas mills are pretty cool. I wish I had one to do giant logs with. That's where they really shine, IMO. 10 times a day! That's funny.

What a waste of a really great piece of wood. Why not let someone with a real mill cut those lg. logs and go get one more suitable for your piece of crap mill.

Commercial mills are often not interested in logs from suburban areas. The presence of nails, bullets and other metallic objects can damage their equipment. They prefer not to take the risk. Few real options exist for a person with a single log to be turned into lumber.
