Cover of 'Hair Across The Frets' by Willy Barrett played by Oliver Bigland

SIMPLIFIED VERSION! THE ORIGINAL IS MUCH HARDER! I spent days trying to work out how he tuned his guitar on the original version - with no luck! I drove my colleague crazy by practising it all the time (sorry Stephanie!) So what we have here is my take on the song, It sort of loosely resembles the original, but is in no way up to the same standard!

its tuned into an open E chord with a nail under the strings on the 2nd fret and a capo on the 3rd fret to keep it tight. about a third of the way through the song he tunes the D string down a whole tone so the guitar is in open D7 tuning.  I will try and upload a video of me playing it. I have known willy for all my life.

Yes please I'd like to know! Great song, although when i play it it sounds like a huge angry cat scratching a blackboard that has fallen from the sky and landed on its tail!! Was aiming for it to sound like 'angels singing' like on the record! appreciate the comments !

this is one of my favourite Wild Willy songs, he's truly amazing. It's a pretty good go at it though, after all it's like trying to preach as good as Jesus. well done mate
