its tuned into an open E chord with a nail under the strings on the 2nd fret and a capo on the 3rd fret to keep it tight. about a third of the way through the song he tunes the D string down a whole tone so the guitar is in open D7 tuning. I will try and upload a video of me playing it. I have known willy for all my life.

Yes please I'd like to know! Great song, although when i play it it sounds like a huge angry cat scratching a blackboard that has fallen from the sky and landed on its tail!! Was aiming for it to sound like 'angels singing' like on the record! appreciate the comments !
