Simon's comment at 1:28 is one of his less astute observations. It's the British X Factor, so why shouldnt Ruth sing in English. Celine Dion's mother tongue is French, she didn't speak fluent English till her 20's, and she is one of the biggest selling artists ever. And where did most of those multiplatinum sales come from? Not her French language records, that's for sure.!
