@ShadowChanceSassy The lineup from 1997-98 hurt The Weird Al Show because Al had restraints on the humor and fun he usually does in his concerts, AL TV specials, etc. due to the E/I installments put on by the government. The season before (1996-97) CBS had The Mask, Ace Ventura, Beakman,Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Timon and Pumbaa,Secrets of the Cryptkeeper's Haunted House, Project G.e.e.K.e.R, and Bailey Kipper's P.O.V. As you can see, the government screwed kids of enjoying Saturday morning.

@ShadowChanceSassy CBS Saturday mornings today is Cookie Jar TV, with shows like Busytown Mysteries, Horseland, Trollz, and the Doodlebops. A few years back, CBS had DIC shows like Sabrina, and for a short time, they had Nickelodeon shows. The bottom fell out in 1997 when Pres. Clinton and the government issued that all network kids shows had to have some educational material. That year, CBS had Wheel 2000, The SI for Kids Show, New Ghostwriter Mysteries, and The Weird Al Show.

@ShadowChanceSassy pretty sure that the 80's Superman animated series is on DVD now.

Okay, in the late 80s, CBS had a great list of kids shows that aired on Saturday Mornings. Here is a list of kids programs that ARE on DVD: Pee-Wee's Playhouse, Garfield & Friends, Hey Vern It's Ernest, and Mighty Mouse. And Here's the list of the remaining shows that AREN'T on DVD: Teen Wolf, The Muppet Babies, CBS Storybreak, Superman (the 80s cartoon version), The Californian Raisins. Don't know what's on CBS Saturday Mornings these days, but the late 80s was good time for kids TV.
