I totally agree. Religion is used in manipulating people in many ways. Thats really been the purpose of religion. If there was a natural disaster, then the religious leaders used that for their religious advantage. Give religious leaders money so you can go to heaven... and so on...

I thought god wanted Jesus (in other words, himself) to rule everything, so why would he be backing any of us poo flingers?

If I DID believe in a God I couldn't think of a worse debasement to that god, a worse insult, then to think such a god of the universe would favour a POLITICIAN. Not one of any stripe.

Now I don't believe in any gods, but the fact that many people who do intertwine their god with not just politics, but with the most crooked and malicious forces in politics says alot about their faith, and none of it good.
