http://pennstatehershey.org/eyecenter Penn State Hershey Eye Center researchers talk about their efforts to improve early detection of certain eye diseases. Dr. Joel Weinstein is studying brain wave patterns with the hope of developing a standard test to detect ambylopia in children at a very early age. The condition can significantly affect visual acuity, hand-eye coordination and depth perception. Dr. Greg Jackson is exploring whether a night vision test he has developed can lead to earlier detection and treatment for macular degeneration. The disease is a leading cause of blindness in older adults.
excellent video. thank you. my daughter, now 3, had surgery last year to loosen the inner muscles of both eyes in order for them to look straight ahead as opposed to inward toward the nose. She has been wearing glasses since but appears to have zero vision issues. I find it absolutely incredible what science has been able to accomplish and am very thankful for the research that has brought about the possibility of these methods of intervention.
