Hello:
I upgrade my time capsule with the same wd caviar green, but 1,5 Tb.
I only have a problem: the old seagate turn on when access and turn off after a few minutes.
WD is always run (never stop, or sleep, or idle).
Do you have the same problem?

No, my TC switches to standby after like 4 or 5 minutes....

Einfach die Platte einmal formatieren, die TC benötigt keine Software, die wird vom OS bereitgestellt.
