Those old farmers knew what real work was, I respect them deeply.

The sad part about that is that after that stage, is full automation: robot-controlled equipment, which the farmers that are not corporate will not be able to afford. I'm a computer geek, I love technology, but they're starting to push it a little too far. I want to continue farming, but I don't know if it will still be economical in 50 years.

@ronnieshorts Go with a New Holland baler.. there a bit more expensive but they work great and wont break down...my boss puts out 10,000 bales yearly and he has two of them and a cutter of the same brand with john deere tractors and caged in hay wagons

The John Deere 336 we have has a kicker on it. Works pretty nice

we stack our wagons 5 high but we dont really use a tie becuase of how we put the bales up
You stack 6 high and a tie???
My guys only stack 4 high and a tie!!!
And we use a JD 348 square baler.

the barn we are putting the hay in is right at the edge of the field, so we don't have far to go with it and we take all we can each trip, thanks for the comment
