One of my B-day gifts from my better half this year was an RP50 effects processor from Digitech.

Miked with a Shure C606 and plugged into a little 4W guitar practice amp, I stumbled onto an effect preset called 'octave drive' that give a combination of drive, reverb and an octave chorus effect.

I was in a decidedly big-band mood, so I just set up the camera and started playing with no idea where it would take me.

Enjoy!

Before anybody asks:
I play strictly by ear. I'm essentially a musical illiterate. Sorry, no tabs!

  • nice, but you just shouldnt add those lame vintage vfx

As always, you're entitled to your opinion. If you ever actually decide to post a video that's not a direct screen capture, I'd be interested to see how polished it turns out.

oh great you looked at my videos, i know they aren't much, just some games i played.

i might make a video of myself playing guitar, but i dont consider myself good enough yet.

If someone is willing to take time to comment on one of my vids, it's the least I can do to take a peak at some of their channel. I legitimately do want to see your approach to video production when you get around to it. I'm sure whatever you do will beat the hell out of my dining/living room videos.

  • This is great, not very technical or fast, but smooth clear and controlled. It's a real breath of fresh air.

    Peace.

  • Well, truth be told, I don't have a ton of speed(never really been my pursuit) and I' still a virtual novice in playing, so hopefully the technique will come with time and practice.

I'm glad you liked it. I was going for a mellow little ditty.
