  • not the Roundhouse, King Street Covent Garden, it was for a TV show, not a regular gig, but can't quite remember if they were German, or Dutch?

  • @jdex29 Middle Earth was at The Roundhouse, was it not?

  • Marc never played at UFO Club, he did play at Middle Earth though.

  • @jdex29 You're right, I've been meaning to change the description for some time. Thanks.

  • i think i just pressed play for the tenth time in a row. i can't believe how beautiful this is.

  • I think I was actually at this concert. As far as I can remember it was either 1967/68 on the Isle of Wight. The acts were Jefferson Airplane, Pretty Things, The Move, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Fairport Convention, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Orange Bicycle and the Pink Fairies. The gig was all night in a field and cost £1.50. I still have the ticket!

  • @jerkwang69 Just watching too , and you hit the nail on the head. No one listens anymore. The texting thing has gotten way out of hand. lol--No really-- Now people tell each other when they are going to the loo. It's a real creativity sucker , if not used correctly. Sorry for ranting.

  • why does devendra banhart(sp?) even bother?

  • absolute love in my <3 for marc

  • Thanks for sharing historical footage of a couple of Dinosaur chicks newly hatched. We now know that one grew wizzard-like and took to legendary heights, immortalized by the lightning (verse) emanating from his eyes and mind, and thunder (music) in his heart.

  • I played in 1975,with Marc a few gigs.It was in a garage,a couple of days before he started T REX again. It were acoustic gigs like the one you see in the clip.Ringo Starr visited us and his crew filmed it.I forgot the location. Can anyone give me a tip,or a hint, like it might have been there? Many thanks, friends of Marc Bolan.

  • some group called tyranasauras rex lol

  • Love Marc's voice... one of a kind <3 <3 <3

  • look at the audience. they're madly in love. none of them are talking, no cluttered chatter. no text messaging. they're listening to the music. they're listening. something this generation doesn't do. no chances. no shared heart beats, this generation uses technology to decide whether or not they're bored, they can't even think for themselves anymore, they ask their phone in the midst of a golden predicament "am i bored"

  • He looked like a better-looking version of Bob Dylan with short hair.

Hard to believe that he was around my age in this performance. This is an amazing piece of history, thank God this footage isn't lost.

  • That's John Peel at the beginning! I remember hear him play "Deborah" on his Radio 1 show in the 70's.
