I've always wanted to go on a glass bottom boat. This is a cool little song, at any rate. Listening to it, I suspect that this whole album is some sort of concept album, telling a story of some guy exploring some surreal underworld. OK probably not but that would be cool right??

  • This is one of my favorite tracks (though it's more of an interlude) on the whole album. I love the creepy distorted dialogue and the lonely piano. Seriously, this song has an aura/mood to it that sets my perspective on the entire album.

  • master. piece.

  • @KittybellChan hey shut up faggot

  • This album kinda was ignored by critics....if reviewed usually given a lukewarm (C average) rating. It really is good .. at least a B. It's definitely a grower. Honestly I can't say that 'Tomboy' is any better than this. Tomboy's few great tracks vs. an entire album of really good tracks. I think Avey has the edge.

  • @KittybellChan Damn that's a nice interpretation.

  • @ancestors I always thought of it as more of a journey to the afterlife. Like one is crossing the river Styx in a glass bottomed boat. Of course, I say this with the belief that the thought that the next song (Ghost of Books) is about Orpheus and Eurydice.

  • Perhaps this is what afterlife sounds like.
