This video shows how the ECO-Board agricultural residue fibre boards or panels are made using the COMPAK production process. Using the COMPAK process a quality MDF alternative is produced which is formaldehyde free, moisture resistant and more fire retardant dan standard mdf.
I would love to have a factory making strawboard with your machines!
I think straw as well as any other agricultural waste and alternatives to wood are the way to go in the future.
We can't just rely on wood for everything, we need diversity in materials so that we are less susceptible to fluctuations and the dangers that come with monocultures and monopolies.
We have used straw board in our fitted furniture and it is just as good as MDF or ply but better!
