  • What a horrible dead end job to be killed at. I feel so sad for him and his family.

  • Hahhah Is This That Dumb Fuck Who Just Throw's The Boxes Out The truck(17" Flatscreen HD-TV) Not knowing that he broke it. Well Sorry u died But Payback is a bitch.....

  • You set the freaking brakes hook and then release brakes. No need to run or any stupid shit.....

  • Doubles can be coupled safely with one person.

Bring the converter dolly in front of the second pup.

    Release both brakes,

Bring the first pup close to the converter dolly and set the tractor brakes.

Put the converter dolly on the pintle hook of the first trailer.

Back up and hitch to the second trailer, set tractor brakes.

Release tractor brakes and do pull test.

Set tractor brakes and connect all airlines, open valves quickly and get clear.

  • Was there a second person in the tractor backing it up?

This is clearly human mistake...If he would of followed procedure, this would have not had happened.

I been hooking up double trailers by myself for 15 years and a second person is absolutely not necessary....otherwise accidents like this occur, due to lack of communication or misunderstanding. I would absolutely not trust anyone in the tractor while I am coupling/hooking the dolly connections.

  • crazy. we were given a warning about this too

  • Hooking up doubles is a dangerous and sometimes deadly undertaking. In the past companies would have 2 people do this task. But now since cutbacks and layoffs, many companies have only one person tasked to this job. Driving is an occupation that entails many risks among these hooking up doubles. Drivers should demand that in a yard, 2 people be tasked to this job. If enough drivers were to demand this changes could be made.

  • That's why they tell you to turn the truck off and leave it in gear when hooking your trailers together. Same thing happened at the Little Rock yard many years ago.
