She doesn't find it romantic and tells him to take a hike. What he loves about her is that she is so strong and can kick his ass - Spike is a real sub, lol! He never sees Buffy as a little victim to protect, but is drawn to her because she is an amazingly strong woman. So no, Sarah, James and David would never want a role in Twilight because they've been far too spoiled in having an intelligent feminist writing their scripts - Joss.
