Originally made in September of 2004, this video made a brief appearance on YouTube before being pulled due to the U2 song. Since Warner music has again allowed U2 songs to appear on YouTube, the video is back.
The video was later used in our training department and shown at 'career days' around the country. It depicts a typical three-day trip from the perspective of the co-pilot.

Dear Sir,
I'm sincerely fortunate to have you as a co-worker. The Wien name is indeed an august one in the realm of "things with wings" and it certainly appears, at least in your case, that the apple didn't fall too far from the tree! Was Noel your grandad or great grandad? At any rate if you didn't get into this business you could have, IMHO, easily had a successful film production career. In Unity!

Thanks Kent!
Yes, Noel was my grandpa. Too bad flying isn't hereditary. Would have saved a bundle on flight training!

G'day mate,
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I thought you would usually start engine 2 first?
I'm referring to 1:45
Love the video cheers!

It depends on the airline. We start the #1 engine first as a policy, but can opt to start the other side first. Starting the left side eliminates a loud whine on the 757 (which our 767 pilots also fly) caused by the PTU or hydraulic power transfer unit.

Love this video. I'm also a pilot and fly long oceanic flights but for a different airline. I show this video to people sometimes to give them an idea of my typical trip. I'm glad you worked out your permissions with AA. hope this vid will stay available for a good long time.
