As a more politically conservative individual I do disagree with much of what Mr. Hedge says, but he's definitely got one thing right: neither of the political parties are on your side anymore. I don't care if I have to march side by side with a Marxist, if it means freeing this country from the cartels that have conquered it I'm in.

I've never heard the phrase "over educated idiot." Yet, another symptom of totalitarianism is anti-intellectualism, which you clearly exhibit. But apparently, using caps and aimlessly trying to decode my title, "Rattapax" is signs of real intelligence. By the way, "Pax" is Latin for Peace, not "Pack mentality." I don't know why you think the left is delusional, at least the democrats don't cut taxes on the rich and jump haphazardly into wars losing what was once a surplus by Clinton.

Honestly, to be realistic, Marxism has effectively stopped being anything but the equivalent of a fetish-object for academic historians, stamp collectors, and would-be teenaged idiots who worship the ghost of Leon Trotsky, Mao, or some other idiot. The idea it has even returned in the last 10 years is obscene and oblivious of how many people are living in poverty below the standard held in Cuba!

except marxists don't believe in nations. and that's why marxism is being taught in universities. so the new generation will embrace communism as an alternative to our corrupt ways today...

Check out Hedges' speech Calling All Rebels. It's really good. I have a version of it on my channel.

The internet is a usefool tool of the corporate/entertainment industry to keep the peoples eyes off the ball by using it to bombard trash at people. Look at at Yahoo, Google or any of them and see their homepages dominated by celebrity garbage.

We lost the "Liberals" in the early 90's, the "Conservatives" in the 80's

What we have now are two competing factions looking to control your mind, money, child rearing and family life.

In short, who can sell you out with the least amount of friction/resistance/cost to their global paymasters. HAVE A NICE DAY

I'm with you. I wish Hedges understood how important the 2nd amendment is. The only thing as important is maintaining a free internet. I love Hedges, but he's ultimately a big statist. He's an honest, genuinely well meaning statist though, which makes him tolerable even to more conservative people like us. You have to respect him for taking obama to court over NDAA, and speaking out against what he knows is wrong, despite fake partisan BS. Hedges is OK, for sure. Cheers.

oh >^oo^< it was in my inbox & had my name on it... did seem outta left field. lulz

America WAS a great country. Liberty, Freedom, Justice... tho, that was only 3/4 true compared to many countries & that was a lie. The price of living on stolen land, eh... Talk about stolen land! That little strip called Israel is gonna choke on what it's been gnawing. Genocide on Muslims, with so many ever increasing radicals of Islam all around.. Zionist bitches are takin' USA down with 'em.~*CheersStranger*~

Actually I was responding to Killdacrawler's post. I certainly concur with your point of view.

The question, "what makes America the greatest country in the world" certainly can be answered with a simple "It's not".

No. I strongly disapprove of drone attacks. He's killed more kids than dozens of Sandy Hooks. Since the current President saw fit to keep Guantanomo Bay open, I think he should be sent there for mass murder. Better yet, put him in a cabin and burn it to the ground.

*Note to "gov drones" reading comments and tweets: Burning Obama alive is sarcasm inspired by events last week. L.A. street cops condemned a citizen to death, then burned down another citizens cabin as his means of execution.
