In this video, Jared Falk demonstrates how to play a one handed drum roll. This roll can be performed with both hands using the rim of the drum. Make sure you follow all of the tips in the video as it will make learning the roll much easier.

  • @MightymanofGod21 It's very hard to practice slowly. It's not something you use to play slowly so I only practice it at faster tempos.

  • Its tough switching to and from it im finding. its also really tough to get steady and even strikes, the best result ive gotten so far, after breaking it down really really slow to feel it, was from slowing it down not too slow but down to 130 to 160 bpm which forces your hand to feel the rythym of the second strike when lifting it.

  • just wondering, how do you make it so people wouldnt be able to hear the rim when you're doing the one handed roll? cause mine sounds pretty loud and to me it would feel like the people around me would be able to hear the shaft of the stick hitting the rim. any tips? thank you c:
