North Korea has announced it will launch a rocket next month, which will put a satellite into orbit. But the U.S. and its allies see the plans as counter to international diplomatic efforts to deal with the reclusive state's nuclear programme - and are worried the technology could be used to develop long range missiles in the future. It could also potentially violate UN Security Council resolutions, and threatens last month's deal between North Korea and the Washington. Under this, Pyonyang was to freeze its uranium weapons program and its long-range missile activities - in return for American food aid. Japan's has responded by deploying its own missile defense system to shoot down any rocket threatening its territory. For more on this, RT talks to Executive Editor of Black Agenda Report, Glen Ford, from London.

I'de be worried too if I was Japan. You have these north korean idiots who clearly don't know what they are doing about to shoot a rocket over their country. North Korea is such a joke of a country.

I support NK's stand, not the injustices it does against their people. Ignorance is not a bliss, it is a curse. Cultural ethnocentrism is ignorance as well. Democracy fallacies and the Western world are a failure. They have failed to help the world.

I apologize for your live's experiences. No Marxist system has worked yet, this is due to the self fortune people seek. Until we fix need, want and require, it will be a repetition of what we now have.

Because they have a different point of view of the world. It has never been attempted as capitalism has. Same as Chile in 1970's before US intervention (national interest), Cuba in 1950's (due to national interest), Iran during CIA's predecessor rogue operations in late 1800's and later 1950's to stop an Iranian democracy and finally in Venezuela today RIP Chavez. You are taught how to run the world in one way, only few are brave to question it and study it.
