her reason does make sense df you guys sound more uneducated than she does and she sounded pretty off but if you really listened you would understand that she doesnt hate the month just more or less the segregation it promotes it may not make total but her basic point got across

@rockettransam911 Respect

her point was that black history month just seperates us more it should be included in american history so is only history made by white people american history is black hirstory in the u.s really seperate from white history in the u.s

One problem I have with black history month and the attitude of "celebrating what WE achieved"
How old are these guys? 20? 21? YOU had nothing to do with slavery, YOU had nothing to do with Rosa Parks, Malcolm X or MLK Jr.
I'm so happy that racism isn't what it used to be, but don't sit there and act like YOU made a difference. Call me a cracker all you want, cause I never owned or whipped a slave, and if someone calls you a nigger, don't get hell bent, because nobody owns you.

@SoCalJAH You do realize that Black History Month...which actually started out as Negro History Week was created by a Black man names Carter G. Woodson, don't you? And it was HIM that chose to hold it in the month of February because of the 2 people (Abraham Lincoln being one of them) that greatly influenced Black people's lives are celebrated in that month also. Abraham Lincoln for abolishing slavery. And Frederick Douglass, 1 of the leaders for the abolitionist movement & former slave himself.

White people get it twisted.......Black people did not get together and decide to have a month.....that was white people trying to make up for the guilt and fucked up shit they did to black people....
You really think black people would get together and choose the shortest month of the year? and choose a month that is already celebrated for Abraham Lincoln and George Washington(2 presidents that owned slaves)......yeah right!

@mxfreak9596 Columbus was an Italian who, along with his men, enslaved, stole from & raped the people he found already living here...Why not American history month? Because it's shameful. Learn some facts, noob.
-
@rudy032190 It's supposed to be but it never has been, hence black history month.

@mxfreak9596 Columbus day... happy
I'm white (and European) and I don't understand this black history month. Why is it separate? Isn't black history part of American history?
