This is a $3,000.00 refrigerator purchased from Best Buy and I have had problems from the start. It is about 11 months old. I will say that Best Buy (Geek Squad) service has been good. I believe that I have a lemon and that LG should step up and replace the unit. I have had 7 service calls and the ice maker unit has been replace twice. I am concerned about what will happen after the warranty expires.

  • wtffffffffffffffffffffffffffff best buy doesnt even sell fridges doouchh bagg

  • @aathavan1234, First of all, it is spelled "douche bag". Secondly .... never mind, your ignorance is not worth the key strokes. Thanks for watching!

  • Hey giounds, if you had read the string you would have seen that I had SIX (6) service calls all in an attempt to "get it fixed". The LG people just cannot fix it so I have had to just accept a poor product design. I am open to any suggestions you may have since you seem to have a strong opinion. Have a nice day.

  • Am I happy? No, not at all. It was a $3000 refrigerator and I was sold on the quality and I feel like I should not have to deal with these pesky problems, especially after 6 service calls.

  • This was adding to the lack of feeding through the dispenser because of the size of the bridged cubes.

I have also found that if you switch from cube to crushed, run it for 5 to 10 seconds, and then back to cube it will vastly improve the dispensing of cubes.

  • Sorry for the delay. I cannot say that it has been fixed. I will say that an actual "LG" service technician was the last to work on it and it does perform better than after the Geek Squad people attempted earlier. It is (I believe) a poor design. The LG tech reduced the water pressure coming into the refrigerator from the wall. He simply tightened the valve a little and explained to me that too much water pressure can cause ice bridging (Ice cubes stuck together in a row).

  • I also had the problem...will never purchase an lg fridge again.

  • I also had problems with the ice maker in my LG fridge, it finally got corrected but after 4 service calls. Now I'm having problems with water pressure from same fridge. Buy another brand!

  • Wow, and I was in the market for new appliances, I like the way LG looks, but after seeing this video and reading some reviews I will look elsewhere

  • @aathavan1234 Just because you get tunnel vision and go straight to buy your Lady Ca Ca cd's, you don't notice Best Buy has an appliance section. Douchebag!!!

  • I have the same fridge. When you dispense ice the small ice door will remain open for approx. 5 seconds after you use it. It should close on its own. But often it remains open which lets cold air out and warm air in. This causes the ice to melt together. LG replaced the complete left door on the fridge..Problem is solved.

  • Wow, consumer reports rates them well, but I see what I see. Thanks for the video! I will definately shop around now ;) -sorry for your trouble, but you did a real service to people like me looking around.

  • @aathavan1234 Dude... seriously, when was the first and last time you shopped at BB? Oh wait... you probably run to the game section and then straight to the counter and out. Check your self first, a l w a y s

  • AT LEAST YOU CAN USE YOUR ICE. I HAD A DARK LINE ON THE INSIDE (UNREACHABLE AREA) OF THE FRONT PLASTIC PIECE FIRST SHELF. AND NOTICED AN ODOR REPAIRMAN SAID POOR QUALITY PLASTIC. CO. SAID NOT THEIR PROBLEM. I WORRIED MOLD, BROKE APART PIECE AND THERE WAS MOLD. CO. WOULD NOT COME SEE. CLEAN W/ CLOROX IS IN PLASTIC COMES BACK EVERY FEW WEEKS. CAME WITH THE FRIDGE IS NOT A PLACE THAT CAN B REACHED. NOW ODOR IN ICE UNABLE TO USE. BUYER B-WARE

  • check out The MrWatchDog YouTube video (called LG French door fridge is worthless) on LG French door fridges before you buy one

  • The man at Home Depot steered me to LG. It looks good but it is pure junk. The only winner is the repairman who keeps billing the Warranty company for the repairs on my clunker. But in 2 years those repairs will fall on me.
