"Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" is a folk song written by Anne Bredon in the late 1950's. It was recorded by Led Zeppelin in 1969 and included on their 1969 debut album "Led Zeppelin". This was the song that Jimmy Page played to Robert Plant during their first meeting together in July 1968 at Page's home in Pangbourne, UK. I love to find surprise gems like this. I would have never thought that this piece would translate so well for the piano. It was such a joy to play. Of course, I could never touch the Zeppelin version.
it begin so well, the angle of the camera, the bright ness of the piano, they guy comes in with a promise and within a few seconds he begins to bang hard on the piano...that is what turns people off. It is a beautiful song and there is a moment that the banging"may be justified, considering that the song became know through Led Zeppelin, the fathers of Heavy Metal, but the hard playing is only for the "metal"parts of the song, not the soft parts...

@yenyere121 Thanks - I appreciate your comments. Some of the "banging" effect may also be due to that fact that I need to turn the volume on my piano down, but I do hear what you are saying. Thanks again and take care. Rod
