  • Daniel, one of my fellow organ students was studying this piece while I was learning the "Wedge" Prelude in E Minor. I knew I just HAD to learn this piece, too! Love at first hearing! This was the only Bach prelude and fugue I ever played BEFORE the service. But I used flute-based choruses (8, 4, 2) rather than principal tone and did not use any pedal reeds. The wistful, longing nature of the subject really suited this treatment, I thought. Lovely prelude, too. Tempo good here.
