  • A love I thought would always be close has gone away. It is so strange not knowing where or why. We loved first, then, we settled into something hard to explain. But, it was always there and he was just a call away. I don't know how to just let go. This song was from our time and it will always remind me of him and what really happened to us. Maybe it will hellp me let go.

  • a beautiful song by wonderful artist. her songs can help you fall in love and, help you when that love is gone.

  • I have been listening these songs everyday for the last few weeks. Like a lot. Thanks for posting.

  • Beautiful. thank you

  • I love Karla Bonoff. Such an underrated talent. The lyrics of this song are so beautiful.

  • Interesting, Mickysako. Maybe that's why this is the one song I've never heard Karla perform the thee times I've seen her live. I even requested it once (and know she heard my request), but she didn't do it. Too bad, as I think this song shows off the beauty and uniqueness of Karla's voice more than any other. But if it still hurts, I certainly understand.

  • I saw Karla with Kenny Edwards about 4-5 years ago in San Diego opening for Michael McDonald at Humphreys. What a pleasure! Got the 1st Bryndle CD at a used CD store about 8 yrs ago. What a great CD! Thanks and happy birthday to Karla, 56 today, 12-27-08!
